Created on 2021-08-21 Updated on 2024-01-06

If you are experiencing slow connectivity when connecting to your RDP, there are a few options you can try to improve the speed of your session.

  1. Firstly, before connecting to your RDP, click on the “Show Options” button in the “Display” tab. From there, reduce the remote desktop size and choose a lower color setting. This will help to reduce the amount of data that needs to be transmitted, thus improving the speed of your connection.
  2. Secondly, under the “Experience” tab, uncheck everything except “Reconnect if connection is dropped”. This will ensure that your RDP session doesn't get bogged down with unnecessary features that may be slowing down your connection.
  3. Finally, hit the connect button and you should see an improvement in the speed of your RDP session.

It is important to note that the speed of your connection will depend on your internet speed, but by following these steps, you should be able to improve the speed of your RDP session.
